Question - Some countries imports a large amount of food from other parts of the world.

To what extent is this a positive or negative trend.

Answer - Some nation have been importing huge number of eatable items from other food-producing nations. As per my perspective it is a negative development as it may lead to some serious troubles in near future.

Some nations tend to buy food items from other nations as these nations are not able to produce eatables in their own land. This import may be impacted during war-like situations and deadly disease like Coronovirus. In year 2020, due to lockdown in most of the nations, had impacted the transfer of the apples and wheat from USA to Canada. Thencforth, in the mid of 2020, Canada was short of these essential products. It also happened during 1995 war between America and Iran.

It is irrefutable that producing own food products is always cheaper than imported products. Unintensionally, dwellers of the dependent country have been paying higher prices of the eatable items. They are sending ample amount of money to the sender country. Sooner or later it will impact the economy the dependent country. As a result of this, people may suffer a bugger money crunch.

To conclude, not only usage of imported food it may lead to worst impact on country's financial system. It may severely hit by un-favourable circumstances like conflits between two or more countries.
