Importance of Friends and Family - IELTS Band 7.5 Writing task 2 Essay

Question - Some people believe that family is more important than friends.

To what extent do you agree and disagree? 

IELTS Band 7.5 Writing task 2 Essay 

Answer - It is often argued by some individuals that parents play an indispensable role in the proper nurturing of their young ones, others, however, assert that environmental factors such as television programmes and pals also have an influential role in a child's development. I strongly agree with the former viewpoint. This essay will first elucidate how parents play a prominent role in the lives of their young ones and secondly,  how pupils' acquaintance's aid youngsters to acquire versatile skills throughout their life.

To begin with, parents have the most predominant role in an individual's upbringing. First and foremost, a reason which is attributable is that guardians have direct interactions with their children. This is to say that, they provide a sense of identification to the child. They have the greatest effect on the intellectual development and character traits of their offspring’s. They make their children responsible citizens by providing them with a wide array of knowledge of each aspect of their whole life. Moreover, parents are the only ones who can understand their toddler's temperament better rather than anyone else. Conversely, they are considered to be the true inspiration for their children in their whole life.

 

Friends, on the other hand, are important in order to make the person more socialise and emotionally strong. In other words, Children learn a copious number of skills from their peers likewise, attitude, personality and characters. Apart from this, children learn to boost up their self -esteem and confidence by their pals. This is because, children can make their situations better in difficult times like losing a pet and during family disputes, with the help of their friends. On contrary, television is the most prevalent media in children life, children tend to learn many things from television programmers. They learn about versatile cultures, current affairs and many things from here serials.

 

In conclusion, it can be said that parents play a more significant role in childhood development, on the other hands, friends help children to give emotional support and television, provide a wide array of knowledge through different live casts, which act as a boon in their near future.
