Problem-Solution Essay - IELTS Writing Task 2 Sample -

Question - In recent years, life has become more stressful than it has ever been. As a consequence, more and more people are suffering from stress-related problems. What factors are contributing to this increase and what do you think can be done to overcome the current problems.


Answer - Anxiety is considered as an inevitable menace in most of the nations globally, which has myraids of detrimental effects on many people's lives. This essay will first elucidate the cardinal factors associated with this problem and suggest  a viable solution to curb this issue.

To begin with, in  modern age,  capious of reasons are attributable for this trauma the first and foremost ,ground of strain is working for longer hours in offices. In other words, in this prevailing scenario, everyone wants to live luxurious life and to become rich in short span of time, this leads to longer working hours at work place and people get less time for relaxation and personal activities. Consequently, people feel more pressure and stress in their day to day life. Furthermore, in this competitive world, everyone tries to compete with each other in acquisition of education with their peers. As a result, pupils are facing great hyper tension and mental disorders. Henceforth, they end up on depression and anxiety    because of fear of getting failure in  hard competitions .To quote an instance, according to recent research in Oxford University in America, it has been noticed that 6 out of 10 learners commit suicide every year when they will  not succeed while competing with their fellows and opponents

Nevertheless, tackling such problems will not be easy, but there are some measures that can be taken to combat this issue  firstly, people should follow the balanced life  as both work and home to minimise trauma levels.This means that work-life balance should be proper and also individuals should be motivated to do physical exercise such as walking, running,gym and others outdoor sports. Thus, they can relieve them themselves from worries and tensions. Moreover, scholars ought to do more hardwork according to their set time management for their preparations in order to compete with their competitors. To cite an example- According to recent news in The Tribune newspaper, it has mentioned that mentees who devote their time  according to their permanent time slots for accomplish their  aim, objectives and goals of life are assured to fulfill their ambitions. Thus, they will achieve more success in their life and never face the word 'failure'

In conclusion, although strain is an inseparable part of humankind, people can always make an efforts to manage it and I believe that everyone can work towards a better work- life balance to reduce stress...
